As a responsible tarot reader I will endeavour:

*   To read to the best of my ability with honesty and compassion.

*   To be non-judgemental, honest and open-minded and to treat everyone equally.

*  That when reading I will be honest – if I say I took the fourth card from the pack in an e-mail reading,    

    it will be the fourth card.

*   To respect confidentiality. A reading will be between myself and the client.

*   To tactfully withdraw if I feel I cannot continue a reading.

*   To respect that the client may wish to withdraw from a reading at anytime and allow them to do so.

*   To use my readings to empower the client and ensure that they know they have their own     

    responsibility for their actions and must exercise free-will.

*   That I will not carry out third part readings* That I will not read for “fortune-telling purposes” as I do 

    not believe the future to be fixed.

*   To make the client aware that tarot and its readers cannot make decisions for the client; they only

    highlight the energies at the time of the reading and may give a different viewpoint to a situation.

*   To be aware of dependency on tarot and to discourage it.

*   To not knowingly read for under 18s.

*   To not to read for any situation I feel to be illegal.

*   To refer the client to an appropriate professional when necessary and I will not give legal, medical,

    professional, financial or other advice for which I am not qualified.

*   To agree to any payment prior to the reading and that it will be reasonable and within the clients means.

 *  That I will not work to either lift or place curses
